thank you both, we just got home from the dr, appt was 2:30, got in the room at 4:00, husband told him what was going on, dr showed us pictures on his phone of what he did as far as putting the stents in and how the artery was now open, and listened to husbands neck, arteries going up the neck to the brain are clear and heart is beating 69 beats per minute and blood pressure is perfect so dr gave him medicine for inflammation in the joints and also medicine for his stomach, dr wants husband to try these for 3 months to see if it helps, you know i think i like this dr. hes down to earth and has one terrific bed side manner
so now we will pack tomorrow and leave friday morning for florida
Almost a mirror image of the post-stent discomfort and fear after mine! They put me on Protonix and I’ve had no issues since. So have a wonderful time in Florida now that you are assured he’s okay, and hang on to that doctor!
Loved the stories! I dropped out of high school during Christmas break - just never went back except to clean out my locker and face down some irate school officials. But never, from Kindergarten on, had those officials done a darn thing to stop what was happening to me....from the horrible name calling and ridicule in elementary; to the more severe beatings at the bus stop during middle school; to finding used Kotex in my locker and having lit cigarettes tossed down my boots to “make the ugly b**** dance” had they ever stepped in. So I decided after a calm break from school that I wasn’t going back, and my parents had no issues with it. They wrote a letter saying “she quits” and that was basically all I needed. So at 16, as a junior, I was done. I turned 16 December 29th so I hadn’t been 16 very long, either - a whole 5 days when I walked into that office and told them to stick their “unforgettable high school experience” where the sun didn’t shine.
Now I’ve written columns for a newspaper. 3 of which have been used on the floor of the US Senate by Senator Mike Enzi during debates and are entered in the official US Congressional Record. I’ve written for a magazine and am writing a novel. I’ve worked with Katie and Kendra and developed ways to help them that are now used regularly by the Children’s Resource Center. Above all, I’ve learned to be careful that what I say to others isn’t hurtful, I’ve learned to treat them as I wish I’d been treated, and I learned that I count in this world. Oh, sometimes I wish I had the courage to back to a high school reunion and see how those kids are doing. But then I realize that I wasn’t worth their time then, so they aren’t worth mine now.

I have 42Glad your DS has discovered Home Alone! That's a good one, especially the 1st one. The second one is pretty good too but avoid the third one. We bought it from the $5 bin and felt that was a waste (different actors and not funny at all).
We have a lot of Christmas movies and enjoy them every year!
I second that!I have just one thing to say Bob...View attachment 1602151
Just goes to show, when you put your mind to it, many many things are possible!
I got teased quite a bit about what I wore to school, my hair, my boots, etc...I only got bullied in 1st grade, after that I learned to defend myself. Other than the always there smart alec remark...you still live in a teepee, you wear mossicans, you still scalp people, can you talk with animals and understand what they say....Thanks, but it’s all good now. In a lot of ways I think I am a better person because of it. When I see kids today talking about being bullied, I get it. But some of them need to know the difference between being bullied hard and getting their feelings hurt because a few classmates teased them about an outfit.
