The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Wow very impressed Sean with your creation and that you actually did post the picture.
Thank you very much.

Not to be a noodge but am I getting a poor man's fruit cake for Hanukkah or Christmas. Hanukkah starts Sunday at sundown. And ends the next Sunday at sundown = 8 days.

All holidays start the sundown before the date(most calendars put out).

PS what would Hanukkah be without a poor man's fruit cake? Just kidding you, I make my own traditions and with your help, this sounds like a good one to adopt. Plus I don't have to share with any one.
If the fruitcake is too hard could you use it as a dradel?

I don't think I've ever had game meat. Did have a bison burger once but store bought and also I don't think it really counts cause we probably didn't cook it right. My parents swear I've had duck before but I really do not remember. That's the extent of it. We bought rabbit, duck, elk, and i think quail once last year but I don't think I ever ate any of it, i think my parents made it. I've never even had a fresh chicken or venison or even lamb.

Long ago, I used to buy, I think it was branded Maple Farms, could be wrong. Half duckling just needed to be heated up and came with an orange sauce. I loved that like crazy. Of course that was way before I saw the adorable ducky faces & eyes on BYC.

I do think when I'm hungry enough(like always) I could/would still eat them and just not think about it. I think it was priced somewhere like $ 3.12 or something. I said it was long ago.

I still see the duckling same brand in the store but, you have to cook it yourself and it costs too much now for me to screw up. I nagged my son to get duck in a restaurant and he hated it (it did cost plenty). I could see it was overcooked???? It was stiff as a board and he could barely cut into it.
