The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

That's cool Blooie. My Great Dane did the same thing....had to have his blanket...so much so that when he died, I wrapped him in his blanket when I buried him. Digging that grave by hand is a whole nuther story.

Awww, that’s so sad and so sweet at the same time!

Blooie I love her!!! That's adorable! :love
She’s a full on character!

she loves her blankie
She does! Her breeder kept her sister due to a slight heart murmur - refused 2 sales because she won’t sell a puppy that isn’t 100% sound. She says that pup has lugged one of those giant stuffed pandas around everywhere since she could walk! I’m afraid if I gave Fee anything like that I’d wake up to stuffing everywhere and Fee covered up with the “panda skin”!

This is a record snowfall for us in VA. We had snow on this day last year, but not nearly this much. What a chore collecting eggs today!

All of the dogs I’ve owned or trained, and not one ever did this - until Fee! She has to have her blankie. If she’s not sleeping with it, she’s dragging it around like Linus. When she goes into her crate, she takes it with her and either partially covers herself or scrunches it up and holds it, sometimes using it as a pillow. Last night when we crated her for the night (gotta LOVE crate trained dogs, even if hers takes up the whole living room), Ken tossed her blankie on top of her back. She grabbed the end of it off her back and SHE did this!

Today she grabbed her blankie, dragged it into her crate and made a huge production out of getting it just where she wanted it. Then she settled in for a nap.

Just in case anyone is wondering how big she is now, here ya go...last photo of her today, I promise!

Awww that's so cute! Gator has to have a pillow or stuffed animal. Usually a pillow but a stuffy will do if he can't find a pillow. But he loves holding it and sucking on it. He doesn't always do it but mostly when he's upset and/or to relax himself or just when he's in the mood too. He has used blankets before for this purpose in a pinch but prefers pillows. Sometimes he stacks two and lays on top of them lol

Todd goes into crazy puppy mode when we come back from an outing and sometimes after a patrol. He tosses his toys and jumps around like a crazy pup. But he's 80 pounds and can easily rest his paws on my 6'3" shoulders (pretty much his elbows). He can be quite the effective road block when he wants attention.
