Well, Todd is on patrol right now and just found a potential predator. What ever it was he apparently ran it off. As he's now quiet. He doesn't eat or kill them, but rather runs them off. During the early morning hours he patrols for about a half hour. At night he tends to go for a couple hours.

Thanks Debby! I put the cats in the basement several nights cuz I didn’t trust them but they’ve been pretty good so I’ve let them take over the house again.

Looks like my ceilings. I hate it!

Sometimes that popcorn ceiling stuff can be scraped off. Not this house, someone painted it with an oil-based paint and that stuff was stuck on like concrete. Guess it's just as well we decided to take it off because of all the crud weighing down the living room ceiling...who knows when that would have come crashing down on someone!

How did he get it off? I would love to remove ours. I’ve painted it but not with oil based paint.

We had a house in Canada that had seaweed insulation. We hired people to put the foam in stuff in.

There's peat in the attic of the house we just got.

Whether it was too much coffee, not enough coffee or just being funny...I goofed!

I hate that cr@p. Some people spray it on thinking it will hide a bad tape job. Nope, sorry, those lines are still quite visible.

The kitchen is the biggest job of all the rooms, it will be "new" when we're all done.

And then you have have outlets every 2 feet along the counters per code. STUPID code but then they are now making appliances with 2' cords when means you NEED outlets every 2 feet.

Normal behavior for a GP LGD. Tell them "I AM HERE GET THE HECK AWAY!" in their big deep voices and only if that doesn't work do they attack.

Plus, you need some insulation ... badly!

We too discovered that there was zero insulation in the exterior walls. The attic on the other hand... I think any time tennants complained about being cold the previous owner just put more insulation up in the attic. There's peat moss, then vermiculite, then over 12" of blown in pink.
Almost 2 tons of garbage just from stripping the 9x9 bedroom!

We were talking about my 200+ breeds long list of future dogs earlier... well... I was cleaning out my cache and files on my phone* and I found a bunch of breeder listings/directories in my downloads folder. like at least 3. Checked the breeds, Norwegian Elkhound, Schipperke, Australian Shepherd... most I forgot I was even looking into or that I even had the file





*phone was kinda slow, thought clearing the cache might help. Turns out I had like 3 gigs of cached data. And my download folder had like 300 pictures and a few other documents that were no longer there, just the titles or header or whatever basic information taking up room. Deleted all those. Started out one at a time till I realized the ones that actually still had a photo showed the preview of said file, not just a graphic, and every time I clicked on a graphic, it said it was moved, deleted, or whatever, so finally I said this is gonna take forever and just checked a bunch at once. Still took a while cause I couldn't do check all cause I didn't know what I wanted to keep but maybe it'll help. Got a little more room on my phone anyway. The main issue is the photos and videos. Got like 10 gigs of media.
