The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

@sharron, nope, more like the Feast of St. John’s, being held down in Basin. Remember back before his installation, when he was still moving up in the line and I was talking about how grueling this year’s schedule would be? I was wrong - it’s been worse than I ever dreamed it would be. 8 months to go....but at least after December there will only be 5 more Lodges in the state to visit. He front loaded his calendar so that most of the spring and summer would be open for add-ons or any visitations we had to postpone due to weather. Haven’t been any of them so far.
rest while you can, surely you will be home with the family for christmas
since our son is a policeman and caption, he always works the holidays unless they fall on a weekend, his normal days off and when he does has off, he has to always go to her families house so we don't feel a bit guilty staying in florida, we have no little grandkids , they are all older so they never show up. so just us two and our pets (they always come with us:))

I was worried about my fantail friend as one day I saw him with only one baby (I thought a rat may have gotten the other) and then I didn't see him at all for a couple of days. But yesterday:

I also went to the doctors last Thursday because I'd had a numb top lip, just on the right side of it. As there's no pain, no rash, no swelling or anything else to indicate an infection, the doctor just thinks it's the nerve playing up, probably due to stress. This whole house selling business has got us all stressed out at the moment, but we shall dig deep and keep going. He put me on a course of ibuprofen for a week but so far that hasn't done anything. My lip just feels fat (but it isn't) and weird which makes drinking and eating fun. It's like how your mouth feels coming around from being anaethetised at the dentist - fat and clumsy. The right side of my nose and some of my cheek feels numb too, but that's not noticeable unless I touch it.

But all my Christmas presents are wrapped (other than a couple that are still to be delivered). DH took the kids out so I could get that job done on the quiet.

It's very humid here at the moment. We had a huge thunderstorm one night, but I slept through most of it. I hope it isn't this humid on Christmas Eve or the kids will take even longer to get to sleep than usual and they'll be grumpy for Christmas Day. Poor DS last night ended up in tears because he was just so hot and so tired.
hoping its nothing serious and that you will soon be better:hugs
