The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I don’t know why simply saying “Merry Christmas” doesn’t seem like enough to express what’s in my heart for each of you this season.

May there always be a Charlie Brown Tree in your hearts and a gentle spirit guiding your deeds.

I hope you and your family have a nice Christmas Kelsey!

Thank you, Debby! You too! And I hope everyone else has a nice Christmas too. My dad, brother, and I are off to do some (very very) last minute Christmas shopping. My mom doesn't want to go for some reason.

And we are having ham for dinner and I might make mac and cheese if I can find a good recipe and am not too tired. We just a triple cheddar blend of shredded cheese and have some mozzerela and various other cheeses too.

Roast beef tomorrow.

Oh and btw, I managed to do one paw. It was much, much easier with good clippers (I recently acquired various sizes of my favorite brand of clippers I have for the dog, have the largest ones for him, got the two smaller sizes and the one with the quick stop plate thing, much easier than the guillotine clippers I used before and way sharper. She did not appreciate it but with a towel she was way easier. And she will hopefully appreciate it. Her nails were VERY long. Was able to take off huge segments of literally just clear/dead nail without quicking her. But that said, I did quick her once and I think possibly another teeny barely nick on another nail. But I put quik stop powder on both of them and stopped it, the first one was pretty bad and she was very mad but managed to finish the last couple nails. And I think I got the bleeding to stop. Will be watching her nails very carefully over the next few days for infection and keeping her litter box very clean. Will do the other front paw another day and then the back paws may be a bit more of a challenge.

Towel did not work for us. The way we do it works great and no chance of getting clawed.

Yeah, I did notice she could somewhat wiggle with the towel plus could bite if she wanted but she did not. Will try the scruff idea next.

Because she isn't CRAZY!!

Good tools always make the job easier. IF the animal isn't struggling it is an easy snip, snip, snip when they are sharp. No squeezing with a dull tool.
