The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

There are versions that use water to keep the cost down too.

Temps need to be in a certain range for heat pumps to work. Too hot or too cold is expensive for regular ones
Here in South Texas, heat pumps are the majority of central heat and air.
They work harder in summer but in winter if the temp gets down around 25°F, they don't handle the demand so well. I augment with propane space heaters when the temps get that low...it just can't keep up with the temps that low.
We don't have all that many days of those temps. They are cheaper to operate than conventional heat and air units.
My bill usually runs $70 for a low to $100 for a high per month, year round. Sometimes in the spring and fall my bill is $50/ month.
That's for a five bedroom house, a little over 3200sq.ft.

Dang, that's a big house! Things certainly are big in Texas

I doesn't bother me, I could change it if it did...I just thought it was kinda funny how it occurred. Maybe change it to 'chicken addict' or just plain 'bird addict'.
I really don't see why someone would be offended but nowadays, it seems to not take much to offend some peeps.
I'm not easily offended. :D
I thought you were fine with it!

The world is odd now with things like that.
