Depending upon the genetics of the parents it is conceivable that all or many colors could be present in the same litter. Lemon and white is recessive - if two are bred together all pups are lemon and white. In my experience blue tick seems to be dominant.
That makes sense, there do seem to be a lot of blue tick dogs like on Craigslist, PetFinder, etc. although I don’t think I’ve ever seen a blue tick beagle until now. So are the breeds only separated by colors or are there actual differences in the breed? Like with Bluetick Coonhounds versus Black and Tan Coonhounds, is it just the color that is different? I imagine both are different from, say, a redbone. I think with Malinois is any are born brindle, they just call it a Dutch shepherd, and not mixed breed, but they are working dogs. I would love to see the different color beagles, I may have to Google that.
