The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

X2 :gig:lau:gig:lau

When I was a young teen I soooooo wanted to know what the girls were talking about in the locker room. Parenting a Daughter, now I know and I was soooo wrong. Never wanted to know and never wanted to hear. I now recommend new dads starting on the whole chaperone/drive thing that ear protection is a really good idea.:lau

I liked raising boys. Boys are pretty straight-forward (and sometimes gross). They just always seemed easier to me after hearing the stories from parents of daughters. :p

Oh, sorry. I only have the laptop and a stupid phone.

Well I guess you'll have to explain that because wherever you are native to is not where I was native to and I have no idea what you are talking about.

DD is hiding out in a pasture in the very general area of Chicago IIRC. Unless IDRC ;)
Now why did he ask?

I came up a foot short on the new pig enclosure. Everywhere I put the post it hit rock. Where I found that works is not good for the next post. Or I have to tear out another corner and move it. Tomorrow I'll figure out where I can drive the next post and work from there.
I had a lot of that happen when I was fencing. Most posts are ten foot apart, some are twelve. Most frustrating.
Good luck.

Snag is slang for boyfriend or girlfriend.
Better to snag one than get stuck with one!

BTW, I'm now feeling the effects of driving a T-Post into solid rock. Not a good thing.
I have not found that to be a productive undertaking.

Been there, done that, have the wonky enclosure. In that specific area, I found a lot of rocks and broken up concrete the prior owner decided to bury right outside the barn door. No way to dig those rocks out by hand, didn't have the tractor 2 years ago. Now I have a backhoe and could dig them out. Probably will some day.

One of my wood corner posts is cemented in, hit solid ledge 2' down. Not real keen on putting cement in a field. One place on that fence line I needed 3 holes for a gate area. Got 2 dug and 2' down hit a huge rock for the 3rd. Could not move that hole without moving the other 2 as well. So I did, wasn't pleased.
