They're finally acclimating to it. Oddly enough the silkie seems to be handling the cold the best. It's finally supposed to start warming up on Tuesday. High is supposed to be around -6 :weeflip flop weather!

It was really good! Rarely do I go to a movie that I want to see again, this one I would watch again. We went to the matinee so it was cheaper and we could stay awake:lol:

I would gladly give it to you. The tree is not down yet. The fall got away from us. Hubby wants it dropped when he can get it cleaned up. Right now it’s not in danger of falling on the house. I will definitely try and video it when it comes down.

What a crazy couple of weeks it's been! Our agent had someone contact her from another agency with a client who wanted to come and view our house. So they did a private viewing and the next day wanted to put in an offer. Our agent had someone wanting to put in an offer too so we had two offers put in front of us. We went with the one from the other agency (our agent would still get 50% of the sales fee) as their offer was higher and everything seemed to be trucking along - we passed the building inspection with flying colours, had a valuation done (at the buyers expense - it's often for them to get finance from the bank), but the legal information from the council (called a Land Information Memorandum or LIM) for some reason had an original floorplan of our house and this buyer wants us to pay out for a drafts person to do an updated one. We were under no obligation in any way to submit such a document to the council (we checked with them and the person DH spoke to didn't even know why a floor plan would be part of the LIM). Their lawyer didn't contact ours until 4.30pm on Friday to say we were expected to pay out for a new floor plan which was highly irritating, but also means that we are now outside the agreed period (5 working days) in which the conditions had to be met and settled, so as of Monday (lawyers don't work the weekend of course!) we can cancel the agreement. Our agent (who has been wonderfully supportive) has a back-up offer waiting for us and we should be free to sign that one really soon. The only thing is they are currently renting and they can see if they can get out of it sooner, but otherwise settlement day won't be until the end of July. But that might work in our favour seeing as there's nothing worth buying (in our price range) at the moment - it just means more mortgage payments to have to make until settlement day.

So that's me at the moment! :th<---- exactly like that!

It's also still hot as heck down under but it looks like we may get some relief in a weeks time. It's extremely dry as well with most of the country experiencing a drought. There have been wild fires down country, one bad one in Nelson where DH's brother and family are. They had to evacuate and still can't return home. We may get hit with the remnants of a cyclone at the end of this coming week but it also may get pushed off towards Aussie and end up dumping all that precious water out at sea. My poor eel in the stream desperately need some water as the stream is getting very low.
