The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Hey chat folk! Just checking in for a minute, y'all be safe out there travelling around in the cold and snow.

Sharron, my hubs just started started recovering from the respiratory infection that you are dealing with now. It really knocked him for a loop! We were afraid it was becoming pneumonia for several days, and he's just now getting back to normal.

Thought I would show you a pic of the puppy I'm hoping to get next weekend. She's 3/4 pyrenees and 1/4 anatolian. Will be 6 weeks old. Fingers crossed!

Our dog is 7-8 years old and I typically get new dogs while the "school master" dog is still healthy and playful, to help me teach the new kid all the rules.View attachment 1688398
And finally, here is the rooster I got last week! Since he's the 8th chicken I named him Ocho (haha...bet you though I was gonna say Henry!)

You can really tell that he's 1/2 BCM and 1/2 Ameraucana! Lol! That beard!

Becca, that pup is so cute! She'll be a big girl :D

Ocho is a handsome guy. I like that name better than Henry the 8th...that guy wasn't very good to the ladies

Glad to hear your DH is feeling better. Apparently that's some kind of nasty stuff going around.

I wanted to drive to Casper today but it's not looking good. The weather gods seem to know when I'm planning a trip!
I hate when that happens!

Hope you turn the corner on that nast stuff real soon! Hot mint tea made hubs feel better.

Wish we had those kind of prices in NZ Kelsey! They both look awesome.

We've had one little cockatiel hatch this morning sometime between us visiting at 9am and taking them some more treats just after 11am. Hawkmoth was already feeding it (so much for what I read on the Internet that said the parents wouldn't feed it for 8 hours after hatching). It had pipped Friday afternoon (Sunday here now) so it's taken its time hatching, so it must've worked up an appetite as it was squeaking loudly, demanding food, and lots of it.

It's that little scrap of a thing by Hawkmoth's head (not easy getting photos in such an awkward place). Fingers crossed the other good egg will hatch (it looked a couple of days behind which isn't unusual for cockatiels). They take quite some time to start looking cute.
