The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Tell me about expensive dentists. The first day of my yearly dental insurance renewal, my dentist determined I needed an 8 tooth bridge, that would have been just under $ 3500. My insurance cap for the year was $1500.

I told him forget it, just pull them all and I'll have dentures instead. I meant it, I don't have that kind of money. Then he countered with a 4 tooth bridge it used up my insurance cap for the year. I haven't been back to him since. My insurance renews May 1. Hope the money lasts longer this time.

Side story I didn't know when I started seeing him that he got divorced and figured his patients could pay him enough for his alimony.

The dentist I had before him. Told me he still needed $ 10,000 for his student loans, like it was my responsibility :smack

Had to go into town to sign off on my taxes. My broken tooth is bothering me so figured I'd get something soft at McD's. That was one disappointing chicken filet sandwich! It had maybe 1 teaspoon of tartar sauce on it and 1/3 of a piece of cheese. What a waste of money. But a good reminder of why I don't usually eat there.

The good news is, I'm getting the first refund in years on my taxes and that should just about pay for whatever dental work comes my way.

Oy, I'm off to take a nap.

It's a very long, talky thread but, with lots of photos especially of her dogs and her way of dealing with animals, weather, everything else. It was the first thread I checked every day- my favorite and then she just dumped us all.

It sounds like a nice thread!! I will definitely have to check it out. And aw that stinks. :(

Speaking of people dumping/ditching, reading the first page or so of that thread and seeing his name reminded me... what ever happened to Scott???

I know I’ve been postig about this like all the time now anytime it rains but the pond is, once again, back and huge. Also the vernal pool in the woods is huge today too. Been raining all day and started last night. Wish it would stop but good for the grass I suppose lol first real rain of spring. It’s rained a few times but not the all day, totally ground soaking kind, so maybe it will trigger some spring growth. :fl
