The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning everyone, getting a late start here...

Sharron, just in case you can't check in tomorrow, have a safe trip and we'll be here waiting for your return. Atlanta traffic stinks, glad your DH is a good driver.

Got word from DH last night that his boss asked him to hire a friend of his for the pro shop & restaurant. I hate this kind of b.s. Hoping it will work out ok.
Oh nooo! Bosses friends are often the purveyors of mass b.s. Will you be over this person in the restaurant? Have you seen a resume? I hope they will be required to take the same drug test, etc. that everyone else had to take! Can you tell I've been there, done that?

Yeah, finally...haven't checked them this morning. One of my Reeves escaped but came back at dark...I found him and got him returned to the pen, one reason I was outside so late.
I don't feel like I managed to re-hurt anything, so all's well.

Any time you don't re-hurt yourself is good! :thumbsup

Sounds like a 'spie' instead of a 'friend who needs a job! Hope it works out for the best.

No, she won't be over me in the restaurant. The thing is, she's used to managing a restaurant, not being one of the people that has to do the stuff the manager requires. She'll have to take the same drug test as everyone else, that's a company requirement.

I've only met her twice just to say hello. I have no idea how she'll be to work with or how she'll get along with the other 2 gals I have.

(And yes, I can tell you've been there & done that :p )

That's how it feels to me. I'll keep my fingers crossed it works out.
Tell her if she doesn't behave herself, you have a 'native' friend who'll put a spell on her! :lau

Hey, if anyone can handle it, you can. Your people skills are through the roof, and you're one smart cookie.

You DO know who you're talking to, right? :gig

We'll just have to see how it goes. Maybe she'll be fantastic :idunno

I did take it easy, that's why I didn't come back inside till 9:30pm. :lau seem like every year about this time I have to juggle different birds around...overly aggressive males, injured the hens...lost 2 males and had to relocate 8 hens, some scalped, had to move inside the garage. :barnie
:gig
wow, i didn't know that pleasants were that nasty, but then i never raised any, have hunted so called wild ones in pa(gun club used to raise them and when they were older they would pen them close to our place, let them stay there for about a month, then let them loose, can't tell you how many got killed on the road within a week, maybe four or five made it to hunting season but not really afraid of hunters:idunno
