The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

No snow, should get some rain overnight tomorrow night. Supposed to be mid 50's tomorrow, might be able to get some stuff done outside but the ground is still working on thawing from the top so soft.

I don't know of anywhere that has those temps year round.

Darn :( Aruba might be the closest then. Or Bahamas. The Bahamas has fabulous weather and no humidity due to their location, something about the winds. And close to Florida for flights. Maybe I’ll move there lol although I’m not really a beach or even plains kind of person. I like trees, rivers, mountains, lakes, etc. but no place really has perfect temps. I get dehydrated and/or migraines and/or heat stroke extremely easily in the heat so I don’t want somewhere too hot or humid but I am sick of the cold. But most of the south is ruled out just from that one qualification of not too hot :( but without humidity, 80s could be okay.

A belated good morning to you Sharron!

20°F this morning, 44° this afternoon. Supposed to stay just above freezing tonight and 60° tomorrow, with rain overnight.

Aruba, year round temps from 75° to 85° if I remember correctly.
Hawaii, 80 - 82° year round. Too expensive though!

That sounds good! Do you have a recipe?
Yeah, I just throw stuff together...:lau
If I'm lazy...which is most of the time, lately, I boil a chicken breast, let it cool, cut and pull it part into small 1/2" to 1" pieces.
In a small sauce pan I saute onions, carrots, celery and garlic in grape seed oil but any oil will work. When that's done, I add water, 1 cube of chicken bullion, and a teaspoon of poultry seasoning and the chicken. Bring to a boil, add some rice and turn down to simmer for 30 minutes. Just before removing from the heat I add a teaspoon of parsley flakes and stir in.
Serve in a bowl with tortilla strips, avocado and sour cream. Usually its salty enough for me, so I just add pepper to taste.
