The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

My hair is naturally curly and when I was in MA/CT a few years ago my curls were so tight I could hardly run my fingers through it when it dried.

I keep mine short now, it's too much. work when it's long. I didn't when I was your age though, it was down to almost my bottom when I straightened it.

That’s how mine is!! Lol I wonder if there is more humidity in MA then?? We are near the water too, between Boston and Cape Cod, so maybe even more humidity than more inland parts of the state too.

Yeah, I wanna cut it but idk. I kinda like it long but it’s definitely more of a pain haha when it was straight yesterday it kept getting in my face :lau

The curls seem to keep it out of my face more. Another reason I like them.

But if I cut it and don’t keep it straight, then the curls will be really short and probably just a poof ball rather than short. Idk. Like I kinda like the shoulder length or just past it but the problem is right now when curly it’s that length. So I can’t really cut it. Unless I want to keep it straight. Idk. I don’t know if I’m making sense.

But curly, it’s the perfect length, straight it’s way too long.

I kinda wanna just lop a bunch of it off though.

Good morning!! Happy birthday, @sharron!! Hope it’s absolutely wonderful!

Ken got up early this morning, jumped into the shower, and met Kendra as she got off the bus at school. It was Reading with Dad day there today, complete with Dad/kid breakfast, storytime, and a couple of other activities. Kenny had to work, so Grampa was Kendra’s date. I sneaked over during the story portion and snapped a couple of pics. Just for information, old, dinged up people should not spend 35 minutes sitting on a hard gymnasium floor. You’re welcome.

Awwwwwe, melt my heart!

This just stinks!!! And for Pete’s sake (no pun intended), if I can rant, you can rant!

We were talking to Kendra’s teacher after the big event today. She’s so proud of our little girl, and so are we, of course! When they did her end of the year testing, she had brought her math scores up by 20 points from last quarter! They want the score for first graders at roughly 175...she’s at 150 now, phenomenal for a child who is “mentally retarded”, I’d say! At this point it looks like she will easily qualify to advance to 2nd grade with the same classmates she’s had since pre-school. :weeAnd she has another loose tooth, which this time she was very happy to show me all during the group read. Then, of course, she had to keep jamming her fingers in my mouth to check mine. No wonder kids hate it when we do it to them! I think she was little befuddled that no matter where she wiggled, every tooth in my mouth wiggled at the same time. She may have figured out that a loose tooth is special, but she ain’t ready for a set of upper dentures! :lau
