I think if her legs and feet were straighter so she didn’t have to focus on positioning them, in addition to everything else it takes to accomplish what we think of as just the simple act of standing, she could do it. And earlier in the evening when it was time to eat, she crawled over to her walker, got up in it, and casually walked to the table. Jen said she’d never done that before, either. Wow!

She's saying, " I got this!" ;) I understand perfectly how hard it is to try and stand up, what we take for granted is something entirely different when 'we' can't do sometime simple, anymore! I still can't bend over to put my socks on and can't 'bend' very much at all for that matter....very frustrating. Watching her reminded me of myself but I think she does a better job than I do! She has a 'I'm not giving up' attitude, that will serve her well.
Brings tears to my eyes, ....tears of joy! it's only a disability if you let it be one. Onward and upward, Kendra! :thumbsup

Morning DMC, don't feel sorry...I don't feel sorry for myself...just one of the many things I have had to/ or have overcome, this is just one more to add to the list. :lol: after having several injuries to my leg and being told by doc's " You'll probable will never walk again", every time, then proving them wrong...is a great moral victory...even if I can't do what I use to do! ;)
