The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

You are all probably just as happy as I am about that - you must be getting sick of hearing it all!! :sick
Actually, not in the least. It is all very interesting and new. The only part I don't like is the toll it is taking on you. But SOON you'll get to sit in your house week after week after week with no big trips to pack for, no driving Fiona to the kennel.

Hi, @Grammy60! Nice to meet you! I’m Blooie, the.....um....well....just Blooie, a relatively boring old lady living in Wyoming.
And you have now met the self-effacing Blooie! You will find her to be caring, smart, funny; everything but boring.

Ta-Da.....one of the table centerpieces for my ladies’ luncheon. No frills, no fru-fru, no clutter - just Blue Slippers, since the Masonic Blue Slipper was my theme for this year.

Makes a statement!
Ah, Bruce....always thinking! They are up on top of the fireplace where her tail can’t reach. I’m just praying they make the trip over the mountain! I only had to make 12, but I made 14 just in case of breakage or needing extra tables, depending on the number of ladies registered.

Ken wanted me to do the tables as 8-tops, but I think that’s way too crowded. I’d rather do 6 at a table if I can. Traditionally what we do is put a numbered, colored dot on the underside of a chair at each table, then on the underside of the centerpiece. That person gets to take the centerpiece home, or pass it on down the table to anyone else who might like to have it. Sometimes nobody wants them, which is awkward, and sometimes everybody wants one. Either way I’m only taking one of them home for me, even if I have to pitch the rest! However, with so many ladies having joined the Blue Slipper group on FB and already asking of we’re going to let them go as prizes, I don’t think I’ll have any problem getting rid of them, even if I’ve made too many. 38 more days!!!!! :ya You are all probably just as happy as I am about that - you must be getting sick of hearing it all!! :sick

Boring...I don’t think so!

Gotta get some better pictures but they were all moving too much haha but got this the other day. The chicks are all grown up and just look like miniature chickens now lol they haven’t really grown that much or at least not look that much different from 6 or 7 weeks or whenever they fully feathered till now but I guess they must be or else they’d probably act sick or something haha they all act fine and are full of energy so so I guess they must be fine. And they have been slowly getting bigger, no longer fit through the gate and they’ve been growing their tail feathers. Not really this particular chicken but the leghorn has a big full tail already lol
