The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

The only place I like to shop is the hardware store..... Clothes have to be way to the end of life before i go and get a replacement....
You might want to put a hold on that practice for a bit or you'll be walking around with your pants around your ankles ;)

A Bowl of Soup from El Pollo Loco lasts me for three meals.... Thank goodness I like it cold too.
Saves a lot of money!

Seriously, I'm glad you are doing so well. Big changes.

:frow woke up with a serious back ache...

little trip to the grocery store yesterday bout did me in. water here is awful cant be drunk without lemon or ice-cubes... forms stalagmites if allowed to drip.... So I buy Gallon jugs for drinking.

I used to be able to fit twelve jugs in the scooter cart... Best I could to is nine... and at moms request a twelve pack of sugar free Sierra Mist.... got food for me.....

Ground turkey.... watermelon cubes.... Pluots.... sugar free Popsicles.... A microwavable steamer cup for soup big enough to put a whole bowl in from ell Pollo loco... or some place else.

I forget what else... a very nice lady helped me unload at the register.. we chatted a bit... and bagger loaded it back up and helped me out.

I like grocery shopping i get to talk to people.....

Made it home and was able to bring two bags in before I collapsed in my work chair. Mom brought the last bag in and her sierra mist.... Then a serious paradigm shift happened. Mom and I cooperated in doing a small task of loading the refrigerator.

We got it done without fighting and some mutual appreciation. NEVER HAPPENS.

Deb, don’t analyze - enjoy!! ;) I am so proud of you! I know some days are better than others, and some days are more painful to get through than others, but little triumphs like a simple trip to the grocery store are what add up to exceeding your own goals!

Last load of laundry is in, and I’m showered and ready to go for the day. Fee has her appointment for her annual checkup at 10, and her shots are due at the end of July, but we won’t be here and the kennel’s rule on current vaccinations is inflexible, as it should be. So we just scheduled everything to get done ahead of time. We leave Wednesday at 0-darn-stoopid for Cheyenne and the Cornerstone ceremony for the rededication of the newly restored State Capitol. Ken is kinda pleased that a few of the State Legislators are Masons, and have offered to fill in parts wherever there’s a gap. Don’t think there will be - so far all of the Grand Lodge Officers are planning to be there so we should have a full compliment there to fulfill their stations. Ken has driven me batty with his welcome speech - practicing it until I think I could give it. There are a ton of other events scheduled to begin at 1:00 and the Cornerstone ceremony doesn’t start until 6:00. Let’s hope there’s no hail in Cheyenne for a change. Someone said PBS will be there filming this state historic event, and that really put him in a frenzy. Lord, save me from zealous Masons!

33 days until we leave for Sheridan as Grand Master and his Lady for the last time. :wee

Sorry about the backache Deb but that's awesome that you & your mom were able to work together!

From one corner of the state to the other  You guys must have put about a gazillion miles on your vehicle this past year!

33 days? You've got this in the bag lady!

You likely helped him write that speech!

33 days, light at the end of the tunnel and it ISN'T an oncoming train.
