Good morning. We’re off to Powell and then Cody. Gotta buy some Peach Jalapeño jam (15 jars ) from the Wyoming Buffalo Trading Company to put in our out-of-state dignitaries’ welcome bags, pick up some tissue paper for the ladies’ gift bags, and then Ken needs to stop at his barber in Powell for a haircut. I don’t get mine cut until Tuesday, but that’s okay - my big thing was I didn’t want it to have that “just cut the day before” look at Grand Lodge.

Think we got the Holiday Inn straightened out. I don’t think the genius behind the desk ever read our original contracts. She was a little stunned to see that our reservation cutoff was August 1 and that they have to fill rooms (even if it goes over our estimated block of 70) until that date. She claims she’ll call another staff meeting to make it clear they are not to deny reservations, but I’m beginning to think that their idea of a ‘staff meeting’ is to meet at the Mint Bar downtown, have a few beers, and shoot some pool....pretending that my head is the cue ball.

Thanks, a coat of paint makes a huge difference. Yesterday I cut more holes in it for extra light and ventilation.

I would like to try that jam too. Sounds good. I love peaches. Not too big on spicy stuff but jalapeños aren’t very spicy and I’m growing some this year so.
