The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I got an up close picture of one of hubby’s cornfields yesterday. This is the hail damage from a couple weeks ago. The leaves should be nice and full. The neighbor next to us lost all his beans in that field. It will be interesting how the crops pan out this fall.

I hate crop damage! I heard almost the whole country had a lousy harvest.

@Blooie hope you had a good trip to Lander! And lots of lobster :D

@sharron I'm not sure what color to call those tomatoes but they sure look good.

Went on an unplanned trip with DH today up to Casper. He wanted to mow the yard and I wanted to see what's been done since my last visit. Plenty more work to do but DH will be able to start spending time up there before long. Omg, I love love love the kitchen.

afternoon everyone:frow
another day where i went to garden really early cause had to pick tomatoes that were ripe, canned them, got another 9 quarts of whole tomatoes, if i want can make something else with them later
anyone ever see a yellow roma tomato? i have one bush that i swear is a yellow roma, all the tomatoes are yellow, not red, i kept 4 of them to take seeds from just in case they truly are yellow roma's, they're nice and sweet tasting
will have to take a picture and show y'all
Acid free Roma’s?

It's true can't find a decent nozzle, or sprinkler. Doesn't matter what brand or how much you pay. This year I just didn't use the hose at all - it has rained plenty. The only outdoor plants I had -aside from all the weeds, were hosta. But a young buck stripped all of mine to the roots. My neighbors put chairs near the fence so they could watch him do that.

:rant:mad::tongue:smackThey have a wild dog (used to kill chickens) but, it also attacks other dogs for no reason. Still scary enough I guess to keep the buck out of their yard.

The deer seem to eat the white and green hostas but not the solid green ones. And they love daylilies, my grapevines and the forsythia bush.
