I believe he did yes, in Canada I think, and then I think he was going to a different part of Canada afterwards for a while? So maybe he is just still on vacation?

But then again I thought that was like a week or two ago already? Maybe it’s a long vacation.

Got the first egg from the littles today!! I think it’s from Sweetpea.

Hopefully he’s back soon!! I know he stopped in briefly on old folks I think last week? Idk, I lose track of time easily, all blends together

Thank you!! I’m pretty excited! Wasn’t expecting eggs so early. She’s only around 19 weeks. Two days shy. She’ll be 19 weeks Monday. My last chickens didn’t start till 22 weeks and 24 weeks, I think they were all laying by 26. So much earlier. And she’s a Delaware too so figured she’d be a late layer lol she is HUGE though. Already as big as some of the smaller adults. She and the Leghorn are the only ones with red combs currently though and Leghorns don’t lay brown eggs so I’m pretty sure it’s her that’s laying haha she seems calmer too. I am hoping the Leghorn starts laying soon. No eggs in the coop or run so she’s not laying in the wrong place so hopefully she’ll lay soon.

Speaking of eggs in the wrong place, I’m impressed she laid it in the nest boxes like a good girl.

I have fake eggs in every box though. Originally gave them to the broody (who is still broody, btw, gotta break her soon), but I took some away from her last week and spread them out to each box.

He did that already. Then he went to PEI .

Yup! Sure does! I’m so happy.

Was not expecting eggs this early or even until spring since it’s going into fall/less light now.

But then again she’s definitely ready and capable, she’s the size of some of my adults already
