The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I have never understood how they decide on this, but we have lived all over and TN and when we lived in N.C. are the weird ones on snow closings. In N.C. they even closed the base when we had about an inch of snow.
husband always said they close things down cause us southerners don't know how to drive in the snow, he could right, we normally don't have snow or ice

Good morning everyone.... Son wants to go get coffee and I have to go to the pharmacy. then I get to crack open my new package from Amazon. Three books
"The Amish Canning Cook book"
"Not your Mama's Canning Book"
"The Complete Guide to Home Canning" Put out by the USDA

I am making Ghee today. Once made it has a shelf stable life opened of about six months. You can even deep fry with it if you have enough. Thats how far the smoke point is moved by clarifying and cooking it for a while.

Coffee Pills a good book and Ghee, are on my plate today.

Good morning everyone!

Sharron, it always helps to have (or be) an experienced driver when the snow falls. Be careful out there!

DMC, I'm sending you off to work with "stay strong" vibes today. Hope it isn't total bedlam for your sake.

It's a chilly 8* this morning but is supposed to get up in the high 40's and that's ok with me!

We think the one that started it the parents were oblivious. The child didn’t have pink eyes but pus was coming out in gobs:barnieThe teacher and assistant from the baby room are both home with it. A child from the toddler room has it but has medication. One went home from the baby room today. His mom is an RN and she sent him that way this morning and he got sent home. If it gets worse we will close down the center. I think the teacher I work with has it. She’s going in tomorrow. Run for the hills!!

drives me crazy when the parents know and still bring them so they can spread it to others :he It's worse when they work in the medical field. Another thing parents are famous for doing is giving medicine before bringing their child to school just to hide it until the medicine wears off:(
