The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

My doctor called and said "your tests are okay." I don't want "okay," I want the readings. :rant
Same here. If "normal" is a range you want to know where you are on that range. Should you be at the "bad" end you want to know if you should be doing something to keep from going over the edge.

I would but he doesn't like hot chocolate :p but anyone that does I will share :D
Well that is a little confusing! Why would he have cocoa mix if he doesn't like chocolate? Or is it "his mix" because he makes it special for you?

She actually said yesterday it looked like my lab & x-ray reports hadn't even been reviewed by the doc yet.
:th
I hope the tests aren't for something that could kill you if they don't come out OK!
Yep, time for a new doctor.

Thanks! I almost feel guilty but I’ll get over it.
Grab those bootstraps DMC, you can do it!

Morning folks, got up unexpectedly, before alarm went off. Happened to notice I had food on the table and lights on everywhere.
Um, did you happen to wake up in your dining table chair?

The good thing was he was a good diagnostician and knew his limitations and would send to a specialist when necessary. Bad thing is that he believed everything medical is genetically programmed so preventative work was of little avail. Towards the end he just didn't give a darn. My gut is that he was addicted to pain killers of some sort.
shame, my dr will send me to a specialist if he doesn't know what it is, he has his limitations but he first will try , hes only sent me twice to a specialist in all the years i've been going to him and thats over thirty years at least

Good morning everyone.

beaver and raccoon stew ? :drool ?

The stew was delivered yesterday and it is now in the freezer. I gave the guy a plate of cookies to thank him for his trouble and he said "thanks, I'll eat anything". Apparently that is true. :lau

Good morning all! I get the day off today.:weeThe daycare is closed due to pinkeye. Several are going to go in and clean. Not me:D

Enjoy your day off DMC, you've earned it!

In that case I would suggest to the receptionist that she find better employment and ask her to leave a note for the doc not to send a bill. I have a bill due to a doc at the hospital that I refuse to pay. He didn't know his butt from his elbow and did nothing for me. I paid the hospital charges only and when the billing girl asked if I needed a payment arrangement for the rest I laughed and said I wasn't paying it. It's not my problem if the hospital wants to pay good money to a bad doctor. He followed their rules, got me in and out asap, but did nothing to help me and I'm not paying for that.

Part of what steams me about my experience...the doc ordered the lab and x-ray and my insurance company will pay for them. Having worked a very long time for a health insurance company, I know this is the sort of thing that helps drive up premiums and we all end up paying the price for that.

I am going to call the doc's office today and tell them I am not paying the office visit copay so don't bother sending me a bill. My time and the hassle, not to mention the ongoing medical issue, has already cost me way more than their lousy $25 copay. If they want to pursue that $25, they can take it up with an attorney (and maybe the state medical board).

Gee, can you tell I'm fed up?

Sounds like you'll be getting a new doctor soon as well Sharron ... unless he was a wee pup just out of medical school when you first started with him.
maybe in a few more years but i was told his son is becoming a dr and going to take over his practice,i sure hope so cause around here the big hospitals in pittsburgh are "buying" practices and putting their own dr's in, which means i won't like being number four or five patients with the same appt time
