The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Going to make today a short day and try not to think about what the next few weeks will bring. Yesterday, the CIO announced a major organizational change. It doesn't effect me or my position but will quadruple my work load for the end of the year.

Well that's nothing to look forward to, sorry Bob. Re-orgs are tough on everyone (probably especially the ones that are left to sort out and pick up the pieces). I hope you'll still have a little time to pop in here and say good morning :fl

I definitely will. I'm trying to convince my leadership to let me help them get out in front of it, after all I've only been doing this sort of thing for 30 or so years. But if it's anything like last year, they'll do what they can and then I'll clean up the mess.

The company I used to work for did several re-orgs while I was there. Always seemed to me it was the "big idea" folks that came up with the big picture. And they would leave making it work to the people that actually knew how to do things. You may be more valuable with the clean up ('cause ideas are cheap, it's the making them work that's tough).

Can't like that. I hope you're pleasantly surprised.
