I have a Canon and a Fuji, Fuji was better. Many years ago had a Minolta AFTele, fast lens, the best pictures I ever got - over used it till they couldn't fix anymore.

I'd mostly be concerned about the chimney for the furnace. No huge problem if you have a small leak in the ductwork. Did you use the metal tape? Duct tape is (despite its name) really not good for sealing ducts.


600 miles?? That is all the way to DD1 at college, we take 2 days each direction.


Well THAT is reasonable since I doubt they give the key to just anyone on the bus. But if the driver doesn't show up reliably, his ask needs to get replaced as well.


Though it is much preferable to rain when the ground is frozen. And we are getting rain all day tomorrow. I've not moved the snow so HOPEFULLY we won't end up with an ice rink.


I guess you are still acclimated to the northern climate. I bet the neighbors were saying "Sharron must be suffering from dementia or something, look how she's dressed!"

yes I used duct tape the shiny stuff. One thing you have to be really careful with is static presser I just used the same sized duct as the trunk line. And it can only blow what it can suck so the cold are return is about the same size just slightly smaller than the hot are exhaust. It's in series with my existing furnace. I just put a switchable damper on the cold are return on the old furnace . To prevent a circle of air between the two furnaces. As for the chimney it's a quick connect chimney a there is no leaks. Also I have a smoke detector above the furnace for security reasons. The duct work has more chances for mistake then the chimney in a way. Because if the static pressures to high then the furnace could over heat and catch fire.

My Cummins Diesel has very few electronic cards... I bought it from a work tuck dealer... It had 185,000 miles on it. it hemorrhaged oil from the oil pan... I had work done on it. My diesel mechanic said it had taken him a couple of days to scrape off the RTV some one had put on it instead of a gasket.... While I had that done I had the injectors done as well... different mechanic same shop.

Over the years I have had several things break and get fixed. Its got 300,000 miles on it now and fires right up and is ready for a real load if I need it.

ONe of the last ones that doesnt have glow plugs or Bleach injectors. And I love it. It walks up the grade from El Centro to San Diego county... In third gear 45 mph without heating up or slowing down. Overloaded with 22 bales of hay which weighs more than 2500 pounds. The grade is 6 percent and takes you from Sea level to 3000 feet

This view is looking down... I belive its somewhere around four or five miles.

The light colored valley in the far distance is Ocotillo My hay guy is at that level but to the left. Ocotillo is just below the Salt N Sea... a salt lake surrounded mostly by an abandoned Resort.. Some parts are still lived in... and as in most desert communities a little store Liquor store and maybe one restaurant.. along the highway... Believe me it gets HOT there... Some people bring their horses up to the high desert (my area) to escape the heat.

The San Andreas ends somewhere in there.... Just FYI.

Thanks Cynthia... My blow up didn't do me much good... physically. but I knew this would happen. .... Sigh

For what its worth I took a day after that and was pretty calm at the bank. And And I was firm and adamant about how the bank account should be handled.

A first for me going in from a position of strenght not fear was an eye opener for me.
