The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Given the height of the buildings on the far shore, looks like it is really shallow even when it is full, just a wide flat expanse.
right now yes, it is shallow in most places but there are some deep places too, hoping they do dredge it before they refill it to get rid of the muck, there used to be some big bass in here, ten lbs and even bigger, i've seen some nice ones in here, they sometimes would chase minnows or little bream, nice to catch but not for me to keep and eat, i like the two to three pounders to eat, i also like the bluegills better to eat.

I would love to see it dredged as well, not sure how easy that is with a mucky bottom full of tree stumps. The only reason I was able to clean out the muck from the pond behind the barn is that the bottom is all ledge. I was prepped to quit anytime I couldn't lift the appropriate end of the tractor with the FEL bucket or the backhoe bucket. ZERO traction in that slimy stuff. As it was I had to "self rescue" a few times by pushing with the FEL bucket or pulling with the backhoe bucket.

at least you got it done, around here, the city isn't all that good, took us two years to get them to come out to repair the drain that runs thru our property from the road, if the fish and game aren't any faster than the city, lord help us cause they won't and if they won't, at least fill it back and restock and get the "pass" into the big lake open again
