The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Either way, it's not a pleasant experince.

So very true :( too much sharing of germs. I wash my hands so much they are sore and lotion only helps a little.

True. Being sick is never pleasant and having to deal with people while you are feeling poorly is much worse.

I hope you wake up in good health tomorrow Sue.

Very true -I hope for a healthy day tomorrow as well :fl Thank you :)

i hope you feel better sue, to bad you have to inter-act with the familys when you feel rotten:hugs:hugs:hugs

Sitting here drinking tea and it's helping some, one of the fun parts of my job :D. Being around large groups of people has always been my least favorite thing to do

thanks everyone :hugsmy favorite person is taking care of me :hugs

It goes with all Breeds and bloodlines.... Standard of perfection in chickens, Dog breeds, Cat breeds, horse breeds are no differeent...

Arab blood lines look nothing like the desert bred.
Quarter horse... you name it... Depending on Show venue.
Thoroughbreds
Running Quarter
Draft horses
Then there is that "guy" in all venuse who wont spay or neuter or geld because they want to breed and make money.... using no responsibility... or because they want a manly stallion thats hard to handle.... or dog or cat...

I seem to rant away lateley. sorry NFC

Ya I agree that's sad what humans do to the gifts God has given them. It was cruel to let my meat birds live they were so fat . Their bellies were so red from rubbing up against the ground. Those birds would be the first to die if released back in nature.

If it is a plain fireplace, no insert, no "heatilator", it is actually a heat loser unless you have it burning 24x7. Otherwise as the fire cools heat from the house is sucked out the chimney.
hmm I didn't think of that thanks . I think the previous owners might have installed something to prevent that from happening.

I do keep it running pretty much 24 7 any way:p

Hope you're having a restful evening Sue, I'm sure Nurse Bob is a lot of help. Fingers crossed tomorrow is a good one for you! :fl

 You could have had MILLIONS that the lawyer for your recently deceased long lost relative was going to give you. All you would have to do is send money to pay the taxes ;)

Looks like many washstands I find with a Google search, just needs the hanging bar on the back.

Plus when you go you can head him off before he gets to the power tool section.

-7.4°F here this morning at 7:30. Two of the pullets had already laid and it wasn't much past sunrise.

As your HIGHS!
I don’t think I have any relatives from there.

X’s 2!

It has, it is 5 above now ;)

Found an egg in the center open box that I put hay in last week thinking Aurora was in the hay feeder because she preferred hay to pine shavings. It was very cold but not cracked. Not sure how long it has been there but I'm guessing not overnight given the temps, it would have frozen and cracked. Aurora has not laid other than in the closed community box since I trapped her and Daisy in the coop the day I found them in the hay feeders. Guess pine shavings are OK after all.

And .... the plastic egg that was in the closed community box is missing! I had a cherry wood egg I had made in there until a few weeks ago when it went missing. Neither were on the floor of the coop. I'm very confused.
Some one once told me that chickens can carry their eggs:confused:

Thank you

We had an ice storm when I was pregnant with my first boy. We lost power for 5 days. There were snapped lines everywhere. It made me appreciate electricity and water when we got it back.

I had a missed call from Russia the other day. I did not return the call.

Love that!! Tiger Oak is my favorite. I bought this and refinished it but don’t know what it is. Could it be a washstand? I know it’s missing something as there’s a ledge on the back for it.
