The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

That is exactly my day! One of the ladies I work with requested lemon filled cupcakes for her 21st birthday so I may give them a trial run today. I haven’t found a lemon cupcake recipe I love yet. I have to use bottled juice as I don’t have fresh lemons.

Let me know how your cupcakes turn out...I love seeing the way you decorate!

Good morning folks :frow

Yesterday was a fabulous day... We had a great lunch at Red Lobster, then went to Rock Island State park to wonder about the trails and checkout the old buildings and falls. Then came home, broke out the old photo albums and put on a movie. Whomever suggested that, it was a wonderful idea. Sooooo many wonderful memories. There were some melancholy moments as well, remembering friends and family who are no longer with us.

A little on the back story... Sue and I eloped. Then didn't have the heart to tell anyone so we did the formal wedding in May... But here are some pics from the real wedding, I think you'll get a kick out of the cake. It's the JP and wedding party, Sue and I, and then the cake.:gig The location was a common room at DePaw University, where the best man attended school.

beautiful

My friend and I were home from collage on summer break, we went to pickup her brother to go partying (didn't even know he had a sister) and discovered a party in his back yard. Free food, Free booze, good music and lots of pretty girls. To her brother's dismay, we decided FREE was better than going out. :gig

During the party someone suggested throwing the guest of honor into a pool down the street. Dad approved and we were enlisted to carry out the deed. So we toted Sue down the alley, handed her over the fence and tossed her in the pool. Then I got to carry her home. :love

I was totally shocked when she said yes, she'd go out with me, but it took more than a week for me to work up the nerve. :lau
:love Thank you for sharing, I hope you have another 40 years together.
