It’s 63 degrees in Billings, Montana right now!

We are at 41° with a cold wind in VA.

Yeah I guess 2 months of freezer burn wouldn't improve them much. Still, those 300 are still over 12 batches, going to be a busy weekend in May!

Just heard that the guy who started Trader Joe's died, part of the radio spot mentioned that Trader Joe's is owned by the same parent company that owns Aldi's (since 1979). We have a TJ's, I think they should open an Aldi's too!!!!

Hit a high of 66 as we left Billings. Wow! What a day!!

I about dropped my teeth when Ken insisted on splurging for a 1 1/2 carat diamond ring! Wayyyy, way more than I planned for us to spend for that topaz bracelet! But he said has been wanting to do something extra special for me for the support during his years in the Grand Line, especially the Grand Master year, so I had a choice - I could get a new diamond ring now or he’d just get it next week. Those were my only options. So I went and sat in the Food Court at the mall while he did his shopping thing. The ring is made by - get this - “Ever Us”, and I think I’m as in love with the box as I am the ring. It’s a leather box that says “Ever Us” on the top clasp. It opens out like a book. One side says, “Best Friend” and the other side says, “True Love”. Ain’t that the schmaltziest thing ever?

Then I bought him a pair of shoes. Hey, I was more broker than he was!

Here is our first baby - it's so cute. Our dark ones and tuxedos always turn out to be boys. Fingers crossed this time is different. And a little white one is now drying off in the incubator so s/he has a friend.

I'm wondering if the fact that the first batch of eggs we put in had been sitting out in the aviary for awhile that, in this hot weather, they had just started to develop. It won't be day 16 until tonight!

There are more pipping. We just have a mixed colour group so it's fun seeing what pops out.

Congrats Jae, they're so cute! May this time the dark ones turn out to be girls

Playing catch-up. Awww, Jae!! so stinkin’ cute!!! How do you keep from packing them around in your warm hands all day? I’d never put them down!

Heat wave for you, Debby! Ken was reading yesterday that I-80 has been close something like 56 times since October! No wonder trucks speed through there, weaving in and out if traffic....they’re trying to get through between closures!

And yes, I have all my fingers, Bruce.....they were just curled under.
