Thought I'd share some cute and funny photos of the quail - I forgot how hilarious they are with their sleeping positions (especially the little tuxedo). We've had 3 more whites join the ranks overnight.







It's a very grey day here, but mercifully cool after a horribly humid night. I've been up since 2.30am keeping little moaners quiet so DH could get a decent sleep before he hit the road to drive to Auckland this morning. I forgot how needy they are and they just want to cuddle in your hand.

We've had a tiny little bit of rain (though the ground is already dry again). There's supposed to be more coming this week so fingers crossed.

I meant to ask you what breed of chickens you are hatching? Are they your pretty polish?

Yes, Polish, and Giant Cochins, bantam cochins, and Mille Fleur D'uccles . Hoping for a good hatch. It may be late because my bathroom is chilly in the winter.

I have had many scares where they sleep like road kill! So cute, but most of mine will be sold.
