I wouldn't give up hope. Chilling, especially slight chilling, is not as deadly to incubating eggs as excessive temperatures are.

i sure hope so sour,but it was after dinner when they got the electric back on, thats almost twelve hours but i will give them time just in case

like you say, luckily the the hens don't give up, i have one old hen, shes either eight or nine years old and she's still laying an egg every other day

not really sure, i bought eggs years ago that were suppose to be orpingtons, they hatched, one was silver and had little muffs on the side of her face, i talked to the lady and she said, she must have throw in a Swedish flower egg(she added a few extras just in case breakage) shes a beautiful hen and lays a nice big tan egg. shes also been thru two coons , that she survived (they didn't) gd calls her loosey and i call her flower)
