depends on how cold it gets whether you will lose them, they might get "burnt" but should come back if not to cold

They are in planter boxes on the porch railing. It will be iffy depending upon how cold it actually gets.

Wind is whipping pretty good. Think that might cause physical injury. If they freeze out, there will still be the pansies. All will be replaced in a month or so when things warm up.
wind quit here and it's quit snowing for now. hope it doesn't come back

I can’t stand the smell when the self clean is used, and it gets hotter then heck.
Yeah it does ... both of those things. I'm not allowed to clean the oven in the winter, only when it is warm enough to open the windows to help get the stink out. And use the range hood on high as well. Ours is a wall oven with the heating element on top. I have a big insulated cookie sheet on the bottom that catches a lot of the junk so it doesn't need to be cleaned off. It gets however clean it gets, I'm not real OCD about it.

How does it do in the surface?
Scratches it.
"The term "self-cleaning oven" usually refers to the pyrolytic cleaning method. This type of oven has a smooth enamel coating on the interior walls that makes it easier to remove dirt after it's reduced to ash by high heat."

But since you asked, I get dressed in regular clothes every day.
Even when you don't have to go off the property? Such a waste of effort ;)

Getting a new oven is a good idea!
If the old one is really not working right. They are expensive and as the old saying goes "They don't make them like they used to". New ones don't have a long expected life.

I wish I had a range hood! The people that built our house never put one in.
I used to clean my oven really well but the older I get the less I care.
