No I didn't. For a good part of the day it rained. Then I found some hardware cloth but nothing to cut it or attach it with. DH will be home later today so I can find out where he's hidden things (if he remembers).

My sister sent me these pictures yesterday. Chipmunks drive her nuts. They get into her planters all the time. I told her to quit making her yard so inviting to them

Your's are cute. This is what the ground squirrels look like around here:

The darned things dig holes & tunnels all over the yards. Then badgers come along and dig the holes even bigger to get to them so there are craters everywhere. And apparently mom & pop ground squirrel had a lot of free time this past winter because the babies are everywhere.

At least they keep my cats entertained...the cats sit at the windows and watch them dart around outside.

That sucks! My husband would be shooting and trapping them. I understand the entertainment for your cats. Mine stalk birds thru the window.

I hope so, if not, I'll buy local but I need to put up whole and diced tomatoes as well as tomato sauce. I'd also like to get some beans and peas put up. I'd like to get some corn and broccoli frozen as well. Next year I'll need to grow some pumpkin and butternut squash, since we're getting low on them.
