The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

morning everyone :frow
woke up very early this morning so as debby says, theres a nap in my future today
went to the auction yesterday i bought a few flowers and a pig and cow planters, husband bought ten buff orpington pullets, thank goodness a friend came and she had brought a couple of little goats in a big dog carrier, and we borrowed that to get them home, anyone ever rode with ten chickens in a crosstrek subrau for 45 minutes with them arguing worse than kids about "hes touching me"? not to mention the smell . i cleaned my subrau out while husband got a place ready in the barn for them, he wants to free range them
as soon as it gets daylight i'm going out to the garden and pick some turnip greens for dinner and also see what else i can find, i know the two cucumbers are really, saw them briefly yesterday when we took the chicks to the barn to unload
so everyone have a great day
rj glad that sues coming along and the way shes going she will be home soon:wee

Good morning Sharron!

What kind of flowers did you get at the auction? The car ride home sounds "fragrant"

morning debby :frow
to say the least
and to be honest, they had some fancy name on the tag but the flower looks like a columbine bloom, two yellows and one blue, will take a pic later and show you

You girls must be up early.

Sharron, having driven our chickens the 3 hours between Auckland and Northland I can sympathise about the smell. :sick

I'll be off to bed soon. Last night there was a power cut so hopefully that won't happen again. Our two, two week old chicks were amazingly good about their heatlamp being off. They are surprisingly hardy little things.

We moved the ducks into their new, huge house tonight. I wonder what their neighbours (the chickens) will think in the morning.

hi jae, yes that would be worse, we had to keep the windows up and the air cond on cause it was so hot, on them, not us so much but you know chickens, they have to be on top of one another
these are about to the point of laying, or at least i hope, husband sometime loses interest unless they're quiet amusing:D
good night jae, have a good sleep
