The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

This boy is my favourite - he's so calm and sweet:
You do know Jae, that a parent is not supposed to actually admit they have a favorite child ;)

Have been getting headaches again so not sure I want to smell paint.
Did you get the No VOC paint??

Do you go see fireworks and such? All the cities here have cancelled the shows because the drunks had to go out and party and now covid is running rampant.
You can watch fireworks from home. "Outdoors With The Morgans" puts on a spectacular show every year. This is WAY far from your average "backyard" fireworks show. You can see some of the older ones if you search through the videos for the ones around July 4th.

They plan to livestream Saturday at 9:30 PM. Their YouTube channel

I'm ready to paint, the boy taped off everything for me.
Did you whup him for insolence after he was done?
Not taping around the door frame?

but they make your eyes water when they're just getting started!
I learned on "Lumnah Acres" that most of the "makes you cry" part is the end with the roots. If you cross hatch cut down to near there then cut from the "top" down to where the cuts stop you miss a lot of the discomfort.

Often we get them and they are very sour.
Sounds like they aren't ripe.

Got even better news Yesterday... Sue's coming home on the 9th.:celebrate
WONDERFUL NEWS!!!

I am officially employed.
:wee

Next week Friday.
That should ease you into it. Work one day then get two off :D

I thought the onions overpowered the paint smell yesterday but today I can't smell it either so I guess I did. The onions were in the dehydrator and making eyes water, already cut.

Good morning folks :frow

🤣 Often he is the easier child, but the other day I told him we couldn't get a donkey for the farm - it would have no back legs. He didn't get my joke, but seriously, that child never shuts up!

It was cold here this morning (still is really) but it got down to 36.5F. I went out to let the chickens and ducks out and give them all breakfast but it didn't feel that cold because there was no wind. The sun was just coming up and everything looked beautiful. Looks like we will get some much needed sunshine today.

inquiring minds want to know how to do these
The eggs need to be Blended in a blender and then poured onto liquid inserts that come with the dehydrator. Dry on high for something like 8 hours and then break up the eggs, turning them over. Dry longer until they are dry. The chips go into a grinder or blender to process into powder.

The eggs then need to go into air tight or vacuum seal bags. If using regular bags, freeze them. you can use the powdered eggs in baking recipes. It is something like a tablespoon per egg in the recipe

The starter is poured into the liquid holder tray and dried on the low setting. The dried starter can be broken into flakes or run through a meat grinder with the fine plate.
