I prefer mine grilled with a little spice... Reminds me of a funny story. We were stationed in Louisiana and would routinely have a cookout every Friday for lunch. I had a great boss, but he was the nosy type when it came to lunch and always had to peek into the coolers. I guess he was deciding whether to eat lunch with us or the club. In any case, one he shows up in my office just terrified... He says to me, do you know there are rattle snakes in the coolers outside? I answered, of course that's what we're having for lunch. and added, I hope you didn't wake them... He never looked in a cooler again Come to think of it, I don't think he ever ate lunch with us again.

that reminds me of my brothers second wife, shirley and i would go crabbing, catch enough to us to steam and eat, she would come over to momma's (where we always cooked them) and helped her self, every single time, the last time we started talking about the coast guard recovering the body of someone who had drown a few days earlier and how the crabs and fish had done a job on the body, and she said, you mean that the crabs had eaten on him?, when we told her , probably, since thats their job, to clean up the dead things, needless to say, she never ate our crabs agin (i know, mean, but we had no use for her) she was a mooch

I know but I'm trying to figure out the physics of something that will ooze off a spoon at not much more than room temperature not melting into a flat goo circle in baking temperatures!


Does the doctor own the CPAP company?
Yep, makes no sense to get a new machine, maybe a different style of mask? I wish you could do the oral appliance like I have, I truly hated the CPAP machine.

I used to be able to use the cpap machine, but I think my allergies got worse. Or maybe more chicken dander. I just know I am always tired. I would like to try a different mask.

Guess you'll have to get a motorhome and stalk them around the country!

It can be hard when family gets scattered.

We've thought about it...lol! Now that Dale's retired...we can go whenever we want to!

Sadly they won't be closer! They are thinking of traveling and seeing some of our beautiful country while Declan is little. Laura is a Nurse, so they are hoping for her to be a traveling nurse, that will put them in different locations for 3 months at a time. Of course that means we will be traveling too...can't let too much time go between visits to see that baby. They've also talked about eventually moving to Hawaii! Time will tell!

Moving like that might sound fun but I bet reality will set in soon. Many that try the van life give that up quickly too

I totally agree! I grew up living in travel trailers, my dad couldn't stay in one place...I definitely don't miss it! I don't think they are planning on living like that indefinitely...they do want to move to Hawaii...frequent flyer miles here I come!

That is why we should do away with time zones. Everyone on Universal, 8 AM is 8 AM, you only need to know what time of day people are available if you want to call them. Wouldn't want to call NY from London at 8 AM unless the New Yorker was a real night owl.

My younger sister and her husband lived on Oahu for 2 years. That was long enough. The weather is nice but you really are trapped in a relatively small area. Want to go to another island? Buy a plane ticket ... but you don't have a car to do anything so you have to rent or get a cab (probably Uber and Lyft these days). Gets real expensive to see anything but the island you live on and you've already seen it plenty.

BTW: Waikiki beach was a SERIOUS letdown. Don't even bother. Narrow strip of sand in front of a lot of hotels, nothing to see in the water. And that was over 30 years ago, I doubt it is better now.

We love Maui, but I agree...I would start to feel claustrophobic. My son is a cancer survivor & ever since he doesn't do well in cold weather...the climate there agrees with him!
