morning everyone
we got a new roof put on the old, old chicken house which is now a garden tool house and sometimes a feed house, they got it done in one day, there were four of them, wasn't cheap but i didn't want husband up there on slate with his bad knee's, the father and one son were climbing the ladder (almost to the top) when it split right in the middle and both fell right into the middle of my spearmint at the bottom, luckily they were hurt, just bruised , today they should be quite sore, husband says its no wonder the ladder broke, they use it for a table to cute things on, cut marks everywhere on it
got some onions dehydrated and today going to try to do rj's recipe for v8, half a bunch anyway, wish me luck and everyone make it a good day

That was a busy day!

It's raining here! It's been so hot and dry for the past month... I've never been so happy to see mud in my back yard

Our last partridge chick was malpositioned so he didn't make it but all 3 birchen eggs hatched today (right on time). One of them is a splash (apparently you get them with birchens and brown reds). One looks browny so it will be interesting to see how it turns out, and the 3rd one is very black. I ordered some more eggs to try again as I'd like a few to choose from, so fingers crossed I can hatch a few more.

Good morning everyone! I hope you all have a great weekend! We're having a very windy day, it's blowing in some cooler weather! We'll be in the low 80's for the next few days, then back into the low to mid 90's.

I canned 20 pints of San Marzano tomatoes yesterday. I will be canning our other varieties today. I have no idea how many quarts we will get!
