I bought some San Marzano seeds already, can't wait to try them next year. I'm going to try direct sowing with a row cover and get an early start so I can harvest before temps are too warm next Spring.

Have you tried them fresh? How is the flavor ?
yeah i tasted while cutting up, i like my pineapples better than any other tomato, husband like it tho, (i think, he didn't complain about his tomato, cucumber and candy onion salad) :D

sorry im, thought you were talking about the super sauce, not the san marzano, tried them last year and thought they were good. the san marzano's

yeah, it took me all day to do the steam juicer v8 and two quarts of sauce, husband sitting here watching to make sure i didn't hurt myself, ask him to go put the load of sheets in the dryer and he did but he also put another load on for me, dark clothes and white in together, i've never showed him how to wash his own clothes :lau bless his little pea picking heart, he just made more work for me, had to re wash
E for effort! It's great that he helps out so much! Mine is a good helper too, but he doesn't know how to use my new washer & dryer and I think he likes it that way...:gig

They are slightly better than a Roma tomato! I don't think I would use them for fresh eating, there are way better tasting tomatoes than that available! They were great in the spaghetti sauce I made!

Well, we have two of the last 3 batches of the tomatoes we picked today processing! We only picked about half of the tomatoes that are ripe and wound up with 25 quarts! Well, we actually only have 24 as my husband accidentally dropped a jar and broke it! I told him that wasn't the first jar of tomatoes I've canned that broke! More tomatoes tomorrow or possibly on Monday! I might need a break! My :old :old back is very tired! lol

Bob, if I lived closer I'd share my tomatoes with you & Sue! :)

I fenced in one whole side of the pasture today, chicken wire inside the field fence. It takes a while because I have to trim off all the brush near the fence as I go.
the goats had to look in the bucket I was carrying. Had twist ties, a drink and zip ties in there, plus cutters of 2 types.

Good afternoon Sue! :frow Is there any other kind...I don't remember...lol Enjoy yours as well! Are you seeing any improvement in your leg? :)
I believe it is getting better, but one day will have less swelling and then the next will be right back where it was before. Water pills are no fun I can tell you that :(
