The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I can't imagine 3:30 every day! When my husband was working, 5am was too early for me, but we did it for probably the last 30 of the 35 years he worked at the dams! I do however wake up early every once in a while, especially if I've gone to bed to early...part of it is my achy body just can't stay down any longer! I ran on 5 hours of sleep for many years, now I can sometimes get 7, so that's an improvement!
I've been doing the early rise for 30 years now. We both start work at 0600 so gotta get the morning chores done.

They told me to take them early in The day unless I wanted to be up all night :( I don't need any help being up at night! I will say that I've slept better since coming home 🤷 probably the meds I'm on ( but don't know for sure ).
Good sleep is so important. Sometimes I can't sleep at night, although I don't seem to have the issue since I got laid off.

I'm so glad that I can now get up when I'm ready...my husband still wakes at 5 most mornings, but I have morphed right back in to waking up around 7...unless I go to bed to early that is!

I'm back! At least until I start running around doing stuff :)

Good morning IM and Rene!

Sue, I'm not sure anyone sleeps good in a hospital...maybe it's just being more comfortable at home that helps. A friend of mine that was a frequent traveler used to tell me she always slept better at home in her own dirt.
That is such a disgusting thought :sick:gig

I know

But hotel rooms aren't the cleanest so I get it in a way. I'd rather be around my own messiness than strangers.
I tend to agree with your friend... In my last job, I spent more nights in a Marriott bed than my own. I'll take my own any day over the hotel.

Exactly. I'd rather sleep in my dirty sheets than in a "clean" hotel room! Except corporate owned Hiltons are pretty nice, they don't keep the mattresses very long.

The woman I worked with the past couple years at the golf course used to be head housekeeper at a local hotel (a nice one). She said never sleep with the bedspread, always pull it off the bed. Apparently they don't get washed unless they are "obviously" dirty.

Ugh, she told me way too many stories :sick

I always thought that was the case and it was kind of confirmed the last time we stayed at a hotel! The place we stayed usually has robes for their guests, when we got there I realized there were none in our room. I called the front desk to ask about it and she said that they have to be requested now because of Covid causing an extra amount of laundry! I've never slept with a hotel bedspread near my face, because of that suspicion...yuck!

Oh yuck on the robes!

Hopefully, with the virus going around, things are being kept cleaner.
