The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

It is good to see you back!
Good job on the tree.

I bought a little electric chain saw today to trim some trees here.

Those are handy to have for sure! DH has plenty of saws but this was a big tree and parts of it were in utility lines and parts were over the garage/house/fence. We figured we'd let the professionals handle this one!

Hello, Chat Folk - hope that all had a good day.

Hi Sour, hope life is treating you well!

Hi everyone! I did post this in the egg laying forum, but I thought I would check here too! One of my BO hens has been in the coop for several hours, in a nesting box, out of a nesting box, watching her sisters lay their eggs...I'm beginning to think she might be having a problem! She's almost 5.5 months old and has been laying eggs for almost a month without any problems! When do you think I should start to be concerned? I'm hoping that she is not egg bound and I'm looking up those symptoms right now! Thanks!

Hi Cappy! I've had a pretty good day...very busy but good! I do have a concern about one of my hens and I think I will post it here, just to see what you all think!

How was your day?
Very busy!
* went to Lowes, got paint and flowers.
* cleaned all bedding out of one coop
*scrubbed walls and floors of that coop
*pulled a 5 gallon bucket of weeds from driveway
*dug part of a rain diverting ditch in front of a coop on a slope
*lashed another piece of fencing on the roof of a run I am working on.
*usual chores

If she starts laying down on the floor of the coop, I would give her a sitz bath with Epsom salts.

You did have a busy day! I was working on some of the same things that you were, but definitely not all! :)
