The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Sorry about the restaurant Sour, I'm afraid that's going to be a regular sight. But nice you found a good Italian place for lunch! Ooh, bulk candy store...that could be trouble (but fun)!

$24 worth of candy at bulk price is a lot of sugar. :lau

New restaurant even had a porch - not as nice as the 'deceased' restaurant', but adequate.

We are actually going to 'do' something today. We'll take an afternoon trip to a small town about an hour north of here. There's a restaurant with a large outdoor porch, and I am feeling the need for a margherita pizza and an excuse to stretch my legs.
I hope the pizza is good!

Trees are not turning yet. Some of the brush/shrubs at the beagle club are turning a bit. We haven't been close to a frost yet. May get down to the 40's tonight.

We had a nice 'outing'. Apparently the restaurant we planned to eat at has fallen victim to the pandemic. It was closed with a 'For sale by owner' sign. Not a good time to try to sell a restaurant. We found an Italian restaurant with outdoor dining and had a nice meal. Princess got to do some shopping, and I went to the bulk candy store - arthritis be damned ! It was a beautiful day with temperature topping out at 74 F.
I am sorry you did not get the margarita pizza! If the place had a mobile wood fired pizza oven, the owner might be on the road and findable....There is a place close to us that takes their Pizza oven to places on a trailer

Good evening Sharron! I totally understand! You are a busy lady! 😊
as you know, shelling pea's takes a while for as many as you get but since i'm a Southerner i love my pea's and okra , husband likes the pea's but not wild about okra lol
its been a long day and a nice shower will hit the spot and then a early bedtime
i had a couple of cherry tomatoes come up in a planter this year and i let it go to see what it is, its a yellow with a cream like shoulder, really a sweet tasting tomato, i thought it might be a isis candy but nope, at least not what i remember as a isis but whatever, i took a bunch of seeds to plant next year, i really like whatever it is, seeds are tiny tho, you ever have tomatoes come up that you didn't plant and have no idea what they are? they might be a hybrid

My husband likes okra...me not so much...lol We both love peas though. I've had tons of volunteer tomatoes every year! We had a volunteer cucumber this year! Chances are you'll plant those seeds next year & get a totally different tomato, would be cool if it came up the same...sounds delicious!

We saw them once at the Budweiser Amusement Park, as Bob says who could resist an Amusement Park with beer 🤔"me" I don't drink beer! But back then I liked going to places like . And it was on our Honeymoon 😍
I would definitely swing through to see the horses if I were in the area ... though Budweiser doesn't sell a beer I will drink.
