The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

It is so smoky today! I'm at my son's and the smoke is super thick. Our place is 3.5 hours away and my husband said that it's the same there, you can see the smoke hanging in the yard & absolutely no wind! We love the days when we don't have wind, but not when there is smoke involved!
I hope you guys don’t end up with breathing issues from it! Your house isn’t in any danger is it?

There’s smoke being blown our way from the CA fires; it looked like a bank of clouds on the horizon this evening. Igor was talking to his dad last night, they live in SoCal, and he said they’ve had red sun and nasty air for quite a while so they don’t go outside much.

New additions to the flock today. There are 3 pullets or hens, no idea of their age.

Our house is safe from any current fires. Thank you for asking! I have asthma, so I don't go out unless I absolutely have to! Sounds like you need to stay in too!
Is his family safe where they are?

That’s good your house is safe, my in laws
Had a couple of close calls at their place over the years. There’s been a lot of development around them so not as much open desert for the fires to burn. They are all safe as well.

My hubs has asthma and I have it somewhat when my allergies flare up bad. This year has exceptional in that regard, but it’s 2020 after all.

That's a fact for everything...it's 2020...crazy year. I'm glad that they are safe, hopefully they won't have any ill affects from the smoke!

Asthma & smoke definitely don't go well together!
