The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Picked up some great sweet corn for freezing. Finishing my luncheon BLT. Need to work a couple of dogs for a field trial on Monday, and then it will be time to blanche and freeze corn.

Are you still eating some of your own tomatoes Sour?

Glad you found some good corn!

BTW no grocery store for me- got back from a medical appt. When I called for the bus, dispatcher said it was full. Maybe it actually was this time. With covid they have been having less people on the bus and spaced farther apart.

NFC just wanted to mention that online fixture (name starts with a A) sent me an email . They have lots of flying bird things like them on socks, in fact lots of animals. They also had the cutest socks for women & children - little kitten faces at the top of the socks with their ears pointing up. I'm not a cat person but, oh how adorable!

Wear jeans everyday though, so nobody ever sees what socks I have on. :(
Which is a good thing because, at end of day, I notice socks usually don't match.

I didn't realize A had so much animal stuff until I started following this thread:

Guess I never looked close enough. But there is a ton of stuff out there that's nice!

Still picking tomatoes, and lots left on the vines of the Heritage varieties - just finished my luncheon BLT. This corn is perfect for freezing. Should give me another 15 meals.

I only ordered two things from A, a Native American flute that was recommended for me,
only made one sound no matter how you tried to play it. :hit was supposed to be sized for children and small women - about as long as a baseball bat. Could be a good personal protection device though. I'd send it to someone else if I had a box to put it in. Maybe they could charm some nice sounds out of it.

And a weather radio, that had so many instructions to set it and everything else, I have it down the basement. At least it tells accurate time. Next time my son comes out I ask him to set it up.

With covid, our one fairly near-by Pow Wow was cancelled. Otherwise I could have given it to someone I know. His daughters had lessons and play flutes well.
