It arrived here yesterday and hasn't really stopped, but its not a hard rain just steady, except for brief periods of no rain.

I had to go read about that. At least you tried it though!

Yes, I did and I'll never forget it !! We used to watch the food network all the time and I learned about it there and swore I would never try it, just from the way they talked about it and acted . But I'm one of those people that want to everything at least once!

ETA: DH reminded me "except for oysters on the half shell "

My girl seems to be much improved today, but I plan on keeping her in the garage until Wednesday, then to the mini coop for a couple of more days and then she can rejoin the flock!

@N F C your memories are both happy and a bit sad. I learned plenty about the camps and we had pictures in our text books, unlike the stuff my kids learned.

@Grammy60 this is how we had the lefse and meatballs last night, it’s all gone except I made plenty of lefse so the oldest grandson wants breakfast tacos with them now. If you try the recipe I linked yesterday it says the heavy cream is optional but don’t leave it out! You can serve on smashed taters too, just as good.

That looks delicious. I'm going to show this to my SIL, they are here this weekend. Like I said he makes Lefse and now I'm sure he will try the meatballs, if he hasn't already!

The meatballs look delicious IM! I was telling DH about them yesterday and he wants me to dig up the Finnish meatball recipe for an upcoming dinner. See what you started!

I'll never forget working at the preschool in D.C. ( for the parents that world overseas ) one of the teacher from Indonesia brought in cream filled cookies and shared, mind you she told us what they were made from, but I had only heard about Durian fruit!! Oh my goodness I could not get the taste out of my mouth all day!!!

You're a brave woman Sue! I like to try new things but don't know that I'd try Durian.
