Yes it isI know, it's starting to feel inevitable.
evening sour, how are you?Hey, Sharron.![]()
evening sour, how are you?
yes, it sure was, i went to the auction expecting to pick up some dressed chickens(for two weeks in a row) and again, no chickens, man said they hadn't had time to do the butchering, oh well, if they get them done before its time to go all well and good but if not, they will have to sell them to someone else and it was cold sitting there for hours but we managed to get some cucumbers and broccoli cheap from the same man, suppose to be home growngood, sharron. Wasn't today a crap sort of day. You have to be 'Florida longing'. Hopefully we are not about to face more insanity - other than sadly Covid.
Sure does! All I need to do is go in the goat house and they all run in. No need to chase them. That makes things easier Cap!
DH just called to give me an update on the Casper house, he's been working so hard to get things wrapped up.
Today he's working on the chicken run! He got almost all of the coop done yesterday.
Later this week, I think we're going to be able to make the first (of probably many) trips to move stuff in. We have some wintery weather moving in next weekend so we'll see how that affects things.![]()
I spent most of my morning helping one of my neighbors chase down 115 wayward goats... those little buggers can really move fast when they want to!
The goats seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves running from us all morning. I could almost hear Yakety Sax playing in the background.
good, sharron. Wasn't today a crap sort of day. You have to be 'Florida longing'. Hopefully we are not about to face more insanity - other than sadly Covid.

The girls are getting heavy coats on them. But the two smaller ones seem to be slow growers. How exciting!Hope the weather holds for you.
Our weather here is hot and very humid already. We are in for a wet, hot summer by all accounts. Our heifers are not keeping up with the grass (and weed) growth at the moment.
Oh my goodness, you must be exhausted. The farmer's goats across the road are constantly slipping through and under fences, and through drains to graze on the grass verge of the highway. He has a massive herd. A guy stopped by our place the other day, very concerned about them running around. He thought they might have been ours, bless him. The truck drivers toot at them whenever they see one on the verge, which scares them all back to where they should be (until next time at least).
I have to say I'm a little worried about you all over there.
Stay safe, all of you.
You've got your babies well trained. They must be getting big now. We are getting 3 lambs soon who are trained to 2 strand electric tape fencing, but I'm going to work on training them with food so that if they ever did escape we could call them back easily.
