The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Sorry for the delay in reporting but Cracker popped out to greet the world at 7pm last night and I started feeding him at 6am this morning as he was yelling his head off. 🤣 I don't think he read the instructions that said he shouldn't be fed for 12 hours after hatch.

He's demanding food about every hour and is already eating like a horse. He most definitely has a strong will to survive.

So here's my helpless little ugly bug:

Adorable...I can't wait to see what he/she looks like with dry feathers...hope you get some rest!!! :love

I hope your remaining egg/eggs hatch, I can't remember how many you had! I would love to have a cockatiel...I had parakeets and loved them!

How soon will you know if your cow is pregnant?

From what I can work out, unless we want to pay the vet to come out and do a blood test, she may show a false heat in 3 weeks but after that she shouldn't again if she's pregnant.

I'm not sure he will fully fluff up. His air cell wasn't as big as it should have been so I'm wondering if it's a bit of egg goop. Maybe I could give him a bit of a sponge bath. They look super ugly between 1-2 weeks old as their pin feathers come in.

Hope you got in lots of cuddles with your grandson today.

My grandmother raised canaries...they looked quite a bit like yours, only much smaller! I hope you'll continue to share pictures! :)
Thank you...I had some wonderful snuggles...now I have to wait until Christmas before I can have more! Unless I can slip in another visit in a couple of weeks! It's hard to stay away for too long! :love
