The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

amen to those, i tell husband they're special, the rules are meant for everyone else, not them

I have a friend who is an anti masker/social distancer. For Thanksgiving he hosted his 6 kids, their significant others, and a ton of grandkids. Yesterday his 30 something year old son ended up in ICU with coronavirus. He's now a believer - too late.

You might have been shocked with a higher amperage-- That ca cause memory loss
just don't remember ron, i do remember haven't to sit down for a minute and ringing the dinner bell for husband to come up from the lake, sat there hands shaking til he came up and i told him i broke the outlet, when he went to check it, the lower charges did the same thing to him (he told me i didn't break it that it was arcing)

i'm mean, when i see people like that i usually wish they would get a taste of it, but what i want is for them to learn they're not special, don't really want them hurt

We caught our 9th possum. I did read that the usual density is around 4 per 2.5 acres (we have 11.6 acres here), but it can be as bad as 25 possum per 2.5 acres! That's a lot of possum!

I got a quick photo before the feeding frenzy. Look at those little chicken wings. 😆

Good morning Bob! :frow Have a good day!
:frow Good afternoon Rene, have a great day
I was going to take a photo this morning but Cracker got stuck on feeding auto pilot and anything he touched he thought would feed him. He was spinning around and around in their little bowl nest (with a very full crop). No name for the second one yet but it does seem calmer than its older sibling. Cracker sure is crackers so he's living up to his name. 🤣

We've caught 2 males, one rather large, and the rest were adult females. They only have 1-2 babies a year, generally in autumn, sometimes in spring, and yet there are millions of them as there's nothing to eat them.

Hope your lazy Sunday is going to plan.

I've got special hand rearing formula the chicks eat. Parent birds can get away with stuffing them silly, but I don't want to overstretch their crops as you can then run into trouble with them not emptying properly.

We haven't been up to the trap yet as it's still early here, but I'll be amazed if we get another. They eat native trees as well as raiding birds nests for eggs and chicks, so hopefully we can put a dent in their population here and help the birds out a bit.
:frowGood morning Jae, have a great day
Good morning/afternoon everybody :)
:frow Good afternoon Chrissy, have a great day
I hope all is well there!

We are one step closer to a new lockdown here and are not supposed to go places
:frow Good afternoon Ron, have a great day

That's a crazy amount of possums...I hope you can get them all, but it sounds like it could be a long process!
