The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

She's really doing well. Last night she complained a little bit when crated, but not for long. I forgot how much work puppies are she wore me out yesterday, and I put the Princess in charge of baby sitting and went to bed early. She knows 'outside', 'Maggie come', and this morning she learned how to climb the stairs to the front porch. I think that she may just be a genius.

Sounds like she's off to a great start!

Made butter cookies and 'Grandma Wallace's' lemon raisin cookies - as in my grandma's recipe. Today we will make Hungarian cookies, malted chocolate/maraschino cherry cookies, and some kind of Ricotta cookies. We are not making nearly what we normally make as we will probably have to eat most of them here in our seclusion.

This Christmas is going to be different for a lot of people. Guess the main thing is to stay healthy so next year will be better!

Sounds like she's off to a great start!

Yesterday morning I overfed her, and she had a bit of a bellyache. I've cut back on the feed, and she is 100 % today. She keeps leaving the computer room and roaming the house; whereas, yesterday she was here with her head on my foot - seems to be her favorite sleeping place. Since she is working on being house broken, 'out of sight' is not good.

She keeps leaving the computer room and roaming the house; whereas, yesterday she was here with her head on my foot - seems to be her favorite sleeping place. Since she is working on being house broken, 'out of sight' is not good.

She must be feeling at home if she's off exploring. Puppies and out of sight can be a bad mix, who knows what they're doing? When my Westie was a pup I fastened her leash to my jeans belt loop so she had to be wherever I was. Guess that's part of why she ended up being my 'shadow'.

Maggie's a smart pup, bet it won't take her long to figure out house breaking.

She's really bonded with you, that's great! I'm not sure alienation of affection will hold up in court as I bet the Princess had something to do with Maggie coming into the family.

The Princess was telling our daughter how Maggie Mae has glued to me, and daughter said, "Animals are attracted to Dad." Maybe that's how I caught the Princess.
