Hi Sharron!

It is! The butter sauce is what makes it delicious.
Apparently I thought I’d remember this as I never wrote clear instructions. I think it’s an 8 x 8 pan. I know it’s not a 9x13. The sauce does thicken after it cools and you reheat it. I like it better that way. I use the evaporated milk. I’ve never tried the half and half. I’m pretty sure I cooked it without the double boiler and just watched it. I probably simmered it for 5 minutes after it came to a boil. It’s been several years since I made it.

Thanks for sharing the recipe and a picture...such a pretty cake, it looks very festive!

No problem! I made 1-1/2 times the recipe and got 24 muffins which is equivalent to a 9x13 so an 8x8 should work I think for the recipe I posted.

Hubby, son and I have all eaten one. The men groaned Good stuff! The cranberries are tart. It’s a good thing it has that buttery yumminess to balance it outEveryone is welcome to come have some. It’s -23 with the windchill right now. Hard to believe it was 57* 2 days ago. Dress warm!
