Thank you Bob! Isn't it amazing...the wood for the table top pictured last we bought specifically for this project...the rest of the wood we've had for about 40 years, just waiting for a project!

A few years back we had a guy come and look at the trees in our grove. We have a ton of the black walnut but they weren’t big enough at the time to harvest. I have a black walnut desk my husband made years ago. It needs a little TLC. It is heavy!

Some woods are really too hard to work and dull everything, others have a puncheon of pieces flying out while you're working with them. Then there are those who behave nicely throughout the process. Not too hard, Not too soft, Not chunky.
